i just wanted to see if the super 12 style of giving points for win/draw and bonus points did anything to the NRL ladder.
so i worked it out.
went by
4 points for a win
2 points for a draw (no golden point - no extra time)
1 point for scoring four tries or more
1 point for losing by six or less (seven for union but i made it six as a converted try)
0 points for a loss and for the bye.
*= bye left
table is:
1. broncos 68
2. parramatta 62*
3. dragons 58*
4. cowboys 55
5. tigers 54
6. storm 54*
7. warriors 53*
8. manly 51
9. bulldogs 49
10. sharks 48
11. roosters 47
12. raiders 45
13. penrith 37*
14. souths 27*
15. knights 23 (only a win behind with a game in hand)
Haha, I remember when Gouldie wanted to introduce this system. Looking at the table now, me likee very much
i would like it too, warriors 11th move to 7th.
Interesting but thankfully it would never get a run in the NRL.
Rugby League is about winning and losing and no points should be gievn for coming close to winning IMO.
Almost losing 4 games should not = 1 win.
