Title: Opinions: A monkey with a pen isn't a writer

Before I went to be last night, I checked my News Active feature on Foxtel to see the latest Rugby League news, when I found a piece of 'litrature' from a particular coach introducing his new players.

Fair enough you say

As I read the 'piece' I was shocked at the similarity between the players. I'm not saying they are imbreed... although in this coaches particular case, it wouldn't suprise me if it they were some how related.

"I mean the Falcons did it"

Now I'd be suprised if a team out of no where came out and took out a premiership. But if you look at the Falcons record prior to the Grand Final, you'll see something like;

* 2001 Finals
* 2002/03 Duel Premier
* 2002/03 Crown Casino Risk Champion
* 2003 Finalist
* 2003 7's Plate Winner
* 2003 B.F.C Finalist
* 2003/04 Finalist
* 2004 Finalist

That's not bringing up all our representitive players in the Falcons short 7 year history;

City: Braith Anasta, Brent Sherwin, Hazem El Masri
Country: Luke Davico, Luke Patten
Queensland: Robbie O'Davis, Steven Price, Travis Norton, Craig Smith, Jason Hetherington, Chris Flannery
New South Wales: Braith Anasta, Hazem El Masri, Michael Vella, Paul Harrigon, Luke Davico, Shaun Timmons, Dean Walker, Matt Burke
Australia: Braith Anasta, Steven Price
New Zealand: Matt Utai, Nigel Vagana, Willie Talau, Justin Marshal
Englad: Paul Sculthorpe, Stuart Fielden, Garreth Hock, Stephan Wild
Europe: Braith Anasta, Michael Vella, Gunter Franz
France: Phillipe Bernat-Sallas, Sebastien Azema
Ireland: Terry O'Connor
Lebanon: Hazem El Masri, Brian Tabuli, Guiseppi Magro, Samer El Masri, Romeo Magro
South Africa: Braam van Straaten
Scotland: Graham Mackey, Simon Taylor

What does this coach have to prove for all his work? Sure they had a Premiership in recent seasons but it wasn't under his guidance. He was still playing with his balls in Division One while his once powerful club was destroying the masses.

At the end of the day, I don't think the catch phrase should be "I mean the Falcons did it", I think it should be "If Brian Randell can get a coaching job, maybe MickyT's uncles goat could". Before bragging and making a ruckus, why not have something to make a noise about first.

So with the Central Coast Falcons success forcing you and your 'Hawkesbury' Mavericks off the sunny coast, I've sent you a postcard to remind you of your visit

Is that as close as he has got to a girl? ever?

Magro, you have taken the skills of constructing a slanderous article to a whole new level.
I don't know if anybody here can compete with you.

HAHAHA!!!

Ooh, big call, Roger.

I daresay DJMaC has the market cornered on the subtle slanderous article, and I can work Randy up into a frenzy by repeatedly questioning his intelligence. And don't get me started on Magro's DJing skills.....

Letter to the Editor
By Brian Randell

Dear Sir I would like to refer to your so called piece of literature in the 17/05's edition of the Central Coast Express written by none other than Anthony Magro. I would like to point out that the opinions of the players are just that, I mean could anyone seriously think that I could influence grown men? Truth be told I think the entire football world was shocked when the Central Coast team (which does include a list of star studded players as Mr. Magro so boldly pointed out), I don't think I am wrong in pointing out that I think that most people would have thought that Gold Coast or maybe even Brisbane might have gotten over the line. I congradulate him on his good fortune as a coach and at no time did I ever let on that he was a bad coach, nor did anyone associated with with my team or management.

I think that Mr. Magro has some anger problems that need to be looked at and mabye some possible insecurity problems that need to be adjusted, I mean just look at his recent record;

*Traded his own son to another team
*Did nothing for his son when he was dropped by that team
*Abused me when I was worried about his own son's well been
*Continually reminds us of his great Grand Final victory
*Places my own head on a pike(clearly some rage issues there)
*Points out other people's faults (my own) to further his ego
*Abused my players for having minds of their own

Now I have no problem if Mr. Magro would like to sit down and have a talk with me man to man to fix some of these problems. Hell maybe we could all have a good cry and a good laugh.

Next Central's demise last year was a large shock to me and while I had a few problems involving my recruitment of players I feel as though I have rectified that problem a little this season. I may not have alot of achievments in my history here but I may as well list them as Mr. Magro did as well;

* Gained promotion in 03 and again in 04 (With Hawkesbury)
* Earned relegation in 03/04 (With Hawkesbury)
* Minor Premier of 2nd Division in 04 (with Hawkesbury)
* Finalist in Premier League in 04
* Finished in the top 4 in 04 (above the 8th placed Falcons) <osama>
* Almost brought down the ASRL with my petty childish behaviour.
* Have been banned from the Newbies forum for abusing new coaches

Now that doesn't seem quite so bad doesn't it?

But seriously in conclusion I don't think that Central will set too many hearts afire this season, and to be quite honest I would be surprised if we took out the competition. But as I said before and 'll say it again, if Central Coast Falcons can do it, then anyone can.

Yours Sincerley,
Brian Maxwell Randell

Randell is an unusual character.

I really don't rate him as a person. He has an attitude problem and likes to let the world know that he has one.

Yet, in a way, I kinda think he is a good bloke.
