Consider the quality of players we have lost in recent years:

1. Brad Fittler
2. Luke Ricketson (at the end of the season)
3. Bryan Fletcher
4. Michael Crocker (at the end of the season)

and many more. with the loss of Fittler, Ricketson and Crocker recently, we must have free'd up a fair bit of cap space.

Crocker was in a pissy contract, as was Cayless. Ricketson was basically exempt, due to being a ten year serviceman. Fletcher left something like three years ago.

The Roosters benefit immensely from under the table recruitment.

Did I say Perry wasn't an idiot? I'm livid that Newcastle decided to resign him. Crocker's not an idiot because he's agressive, nor is it because he's a Queenslander (although the IQ of people living up your way is substantially lower than in the premier state). It's because he doesn't know the difference between aggression and breaking the rules. There's a reason he spends so much time suspended. Tallis was aggressive, and he didn't spend near as much time sitting out games as Crocker does.

Case 1: The Sydney Roosters: Cap Cheats? GF Easy Beats?
The Roosters do have a lot of shit attached to it, like Phil Gould (who has an opinion on everything), Ricky Stuart (The real biggest whinger in the game), (Ron Palmer (Gay guy with wierd moustache, has aids) and most of all their huge stance on traditionalism in the 90s only now to be the "professional" super club, besides all this, i like the roosters, People have gone salary cap crazy over the roosters ever since the dogs broke the rules back in 2002, the year the roosters won the comp. If the Roosters didnt win that year would anyone doubt there cap? is it any coincidence that the roosters are the most hated team in the comp and are also always being doubted about their salary cap? Does everyone hate the Roosters because they won the 2002 GF? I think its a bit of each, but reguardless, i think its pretty stupid when someone says "the roosters MUST be over the cap after signing X player". Are you the Roosters bookeeper? no? then i guess ur a 99%chance of being wrong.

Case 2: Michael Crocker: Dont wanna be an aggressive idiot
Mick Crocker is aggressive? yes. is rugby league an aggressive sport? last time i checked it was, but after all this diving in origin games and good tackles being called a "dangerous throw" and other rather girly behaviour, that maybe Crocker is an idiot.
