Title: OPEN LETTER TO CCF

OPEN CHALLENGE TO CCF

Before I start to make my point, I’d like to congratulate Anthony Magro and the Central Coast Falcons for a well deserved title.
I have known Anthony for a long time. He is a champion bloke with a great sense of humor. He is the type of bloke who likes to make other peoples day a bit more brighter.
Magro was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, as he has worked hard for his success in club and representative football.
I remember laughing at his line-up in the first few years. Guys like Azema and Franz were diabolical and great for an unintended laugh. Heck, Jason Bell was his best player and number one playmaker at one time. That’s how bad Magro had it at CCF.
But, Magro ploughed on and recruited shrewdly for a stronger line-up, which resulted in a premiership. All credit to him and his hard work. NOBODY can take that away from him.
Lets talk about the future. The Oilers have had their largest recruitment drive in years over the off-season. In the past, clubs knew that if they attacked us out wide, points would flood in. That won’t happen this season. Now, not only do we have a super forward pack, we also have the most threatening backline in the comp. With guys like Jason Robinson, Minichello, Roberts, Tahu and Tonga, we can truly bust any team up.

Despite Magro’s success, he does have a weakness. He is the ONLY NSW coach to lose in origin. I found his response quite interesting. Instead of steeling his resolve and challenging QLD again, he decided to quit while he was behind. You see, he knew he could not beat me in the representative arena because I had too many good options for QLD. He couldn’t combat my surprise coaching tactics because of my extra options. With the Oilers this season, I have great depth. He won’t be able to read my tactics, because I have so many attacking options across the park.
We want to make a big statement in this seasons competition. We cannot make a larger statement than putting 30+ points on the Falcons in this years trial. There is no way in the world that he will keep my side to under 24 points if he played me now. My side has an edge over them now.
Magro is not a chicken, so I do have faith that he’ll take me on. I’ll be happy to play at the CCF stadium.

Magro, bring it!!!!!

Roger
Oilers Coach

"Ah Roger" quoted Magro

"I think the coach of the year award has inflated his head too much and is blinding his eyes from the truth. I applaud him for the recognition and hard work myself and CCF had to reach this point"

"The only NSW coach to lose? Mate, there has only been two of us and if we all remember, I was offered a coaching position with England well before Game Two when I stepped down. Even if I wanted some 'revenge' how would I do it after I've accepted another position and stod down from Origin, how would I deal with reclaiming the job from Brandell?"

"In typical Roger fashion, he had to talk about himself even in a praise of someone else. Well lets look at some fact about Roger and the Oilers. They only are in the Premier League because the P.L needed extra teams and to be honest, they haven't done much in their run."

"Roger has the greatest eye for talent, I'm not going to take that away. He sees potential well before the child is born. Coaching however, he's go no clue. From what I remember, he hasn't made many ripples in the ASRL pond. If I remember correctly the best he's got is two Crown Casino Risk championships. That is kinda impressive since he's elimination against 7 other teams but I'd like to prove his ability and take out the Bob Fulton Cup this year."

"As for the mans challange. Despite me having nothing to gain from this, sure, the Central Coast 'Premier' Falcons will take on the Sydney Oilers."
