Doug, realism aside, it's perhaps best if you limit your squad size to seventeen and just call up extras if you need them. Since it's excluded from the ASRL proper, you won't be picking up injuries. If you want to trial multiple people, you can simply modify your team each week.
You'll only need a full squad of 20-25 for the World Cup.
