Hawthorn have come within inches of making an upset victory over Christchurch in the 14-12 match. Christchurch came out with guns blazing in the first half but left nothing for the second half.

Pine River took an unexpected win over Top 4 contendor Hunter with a 28-2 scoreline which saw Hunter fans leave the stadium with their head in hands with not only that but star centre Brad Commins copping a major injury.

Two fights caused by Cairns has cost them a upset victory over The Entrance Tigers. Cairns within the final 10 where drawn 22-22, however, the hot headed White Pointers gave away two penalities in their own half which resulted in points, finally ended the game 26-22.

Birchgrove have convincingly put away the Rabual Rangers and pushing themselves higher on the ladder with a 22-0 win. Again it was the famous Pistoleers backline which was firing but be in threat next week when then clash with The Entrance Tigers.
