Title: Round 11

MrCharisma - February 23, 2005 09:07 AM (GMT)
Rabaul were forced to use a 12 man side which no bench during there 16-2 lost against Souths. Chris Kendra, Semi Taduala, Meli Tuni, Kel Portas, Edelbert Dinha and Cheyne Lennon were all sent to hospital before the games end which is raising some question about the safety of Souths home ground with many other players forced to run with niggling injures also.
Souths: Tim Rangihuna, Kam Wilkinson, Michael Fairweather. Rangihuna 2/4
Rabaul: Tutaki 1/1
PoM: Ben Lowe 3, Kam Wilkinson 2, Heathcliffe Lawrence 1

Neil Sweeney remains in hot form and again Sunshine Coast put a nasty scoreline over their victum, 24-2 on Christchurch. It's the Wizards backline which is working all the magic with both Sweeney and Carmont pushing for top grade selection.
Sunshine Coast: Dane Campbell, George Carmont, Steve Witt, Louis Anderson. Sweeney 4/4
Christchurch: van Straaten 1/1
PoM: Neil Sweeney 3, George Carmont 2, Dane Campbell 1

Cairns have snuck in 8 points within 2 minutes to draw with North West 12-12. Cairns took advantage of some lazy Kookaburras defence and now face the grueling task against 1st placed The Entrance next week.
North West: Daniel Ferris. Ferris 4/4
Cairns: Luke Finnerty, Nick Youngquest. Gordon 2/3
PoM: Todd Olliver 3, Luke Finnerty 2, Henry Perenara 1

Pine River almost put one over The Entrance Tigers today, that was until captain Guiseppi Magro led by example and burrowed through the defence to put the side in the lead on the 79th. Dane Dorahy was in amazing form but it just wasn't his day as the whistle blew 18-16 against them.
The Entrance: Guiseppi Magro, Samer El Masri, Graeme Timms. El Masri 3/4
Pine Rivers: Dane Dorahy, Jason Priest. Dorahy 1/1, Webster 3/4
PoM: Frank Miranda 3, Tony Gonzalez 2, Dane Dorahy 1

Hunter might have won the war over Birchgrove but the Pistoleers can claim to have won a half. Hunter left no stone unturned as they put Birchgrove 22-0 at the end of the half but a Michael Howell solo effort won't mean the Pistoleers will be putting the gun to the head just yet with a 22-6 final score.
Birchgrove: Michael Howell. Vassilakopoulos 1/1
Hunter: Brad Commins, Scott Naylor, Chris Bridge, Jamie Feeney. Randall 3/4
PoM: Jamie McDonald 3, Brad Commins 2, Chad Randall 1

Kensington fans hit the jackpot this week when they spanked the Kandy Jesters 36-6. Jesters fans were less then entertained as their side was romped by the Kensington halves combo of Opan and Rhyven, scoring a massive 24 points between them
Kandy: Erik Hollingsworth. Akiba 1/2
Kensington: Rich Portale, Bill Rhyven x3, Dale Newton, Lenny Beckett. Opan 6/6
PoM: Lenny Beckett 3, Andrew Meads 2, Bill Rhyven 1

Wests have sent a mesaage to southern competitors this week with a 18-10 win over Hawthorn. While Queensland rep season is just around the corner, everyone north of the boarder was keen to impress including Berrkick Barnes and Tom Learoyd who could be brought up with rep selection.
Wests: Jason Kent x2, Michael Ryan. Barnes 3/4
Hawthorn: Ahmad Bajouri, Ben Jeffries. Goodwin 1/2
PoM: Tom Learoyd 3, Rhys Lovegrove 2, Ben Jeffries 1

Some stirn defence has seen Gisborne hold Balmain to a 22-18 scoreline. Balmain brought all they had and even remained attacking the Heats line on the final whistle but it was super-sub Chris Leikvoll who turned heads after scoring two run away tries.
Balmain: Rupert Matakamikamica, Brady Payne, Aaron Cannings. Pritchard 3/3
Gisborne: Chris Leikvoll x2, Nathan Tutt, Simeon Rice. Melling 3/4
PoM: Chris Leikvoll 3, Zane Clarke 2, Matt Nightingale 1

You'll see few hands raised when Port Kembla go to select their #10 after Wayne McDonald and replacement Ben Cross were both hospitalised in their 42-26 smashing of Ryde. Jamie Soward, Gareth Thomas and Chris Feather were having a field day against a side which switched off in the second half.
Ryde: Nate Smith x2, Alex Moore, Maxim Ramonov. Smith 5/7
Port Kembla: Tommy Gallaghar, Jaime Soward x3, Kirill Koulyomin, Craig Greenhill, Chris Feather. Thomas 7/9
PoM: Chris Feather 3, Jaime Soward 2, Reinhard Aust 1
