Title: Qld : Silent, but deadly

oiler - February 11, 2005 12:00 PM (GMT)
The QRL board have finally reappointed Sydney Oilers coach, Roger Bossert to another stint at coaching Queensland in this seasons State of Origin series.
Bossert was seething over his loss to Magro's Blues last season, but was happy with the improvement shown by most of his squad in last years Origin series.
"We took NSW to the brink of defeat in last years series" commented Bossert. "That decider was seen by many good judges as the best Origin game ever played. Guys like Elton Flately and Josh Hannay really lifted our side to new heights and were very inspirational" added Bossert.
"With the added experience and improvement in our Queensland players, I think Magro will run out of excuses to keep his job by the end of Game Three".

At the press conference, players who are close to selection have been listed below. If a Queensland player has not been named on this list, they still may get picked for the final team, but will need to improve considerably to get a spot.
