I'd like to congratulate Magro for having a good eye for talent in picking Andrew Ryan, Ben Kennedy, Craig Wing and Craig Gower in the squad.
However, I think some of Magro's selections have been very dubious. Matt Adamson has 8 poms points, however Magro refuses to even put him in his squad. So much for the "form players will be picked" rule. I think Adamson's 8/7 rating may have something to do with it ;) .
Pretty much, Im forced to pick Ben Tune, as he has 10 pom points. There are much higher ranked wingers around, but I have the morals to pick him, unlike my NSW opposition.
As a compromise rule, mb we should only pick players on form if they have 16 points or more in attack and defence. We can pick players with less points, but we should'nt be forced to choose them on form.
Just a thought.

First off I'd like to congradulate Roger for once again getting on his high horse.
First off the N.S.W squad is a continuing list, which hasn't been concrete, nor has it ever been concrete this season.
Second I would like to comment on Matt Adamsom. He's been a player who didn't qualify for City or Country Origin and hardly has been impressive, bouncing from bench position and in the run on. While he maybe on 8 Poms, there are also players with those kinds of tallies who may miss out also.
So in the meantime, go back to Queensland and work on trying to win a series rather then trying to coach the far superior NSW squad

8 POMS is 8 POMS, simple as that. He deserves to be chosen.
If the ASRL CEO approves your selections of not picking inform players, I'll resign before Game One, as the series will turn into a total farce.

My definition of form is actually different. Form id the number that starts at 100 at seasons beginning and rises or falls drom there. I have a player who right now is on 122 form and has no poms if a similar player had more poms and less form id still play my 122 in hi place. I expect Magro is doing this also.

Rep coaches often don't pick who you think is deserving of the position as we've seen over and over again. How did Berrigan get favour over Cooper? Why is Kimmorely playing over Orford or Sherwin?
Deal with it.... stick to worring about the Oilers and Queenland.

I don't want to shatter illusions for either of you, but I have final say in both of your squads. No point arguing about it. If Magro leaves Adamson out and can't justify it, I'll make sure something is done. It's part and parcel of the job. I had Hoy looking over my shoulder, and since coaches are incapable of being entirely unbiased in selections- I'll continue his fine tradition.
