The Gold Coast Crusade and Sydney Oilers have given fans a dream final after winning today's semi final ties. Punters and fans have been salivating over a clash between the Premier League favourites (Gold Coast) and BFC form side, Sydney. While both sides did it tough, the Crusade will head into the final as favourites after their far tougher preparation.
It took the Crusade one hundred and twenty minutes to force their way into tomorrow's final, with a sloppy eighty minutes seeing the score deadlocked at 8 all thanks to the goal kicking of Red Apokalips. The first twenty minutes of extra time failed to produce a winner either, with both sides scoring a converted try and penalty goal to leave things level at 16 all. The Crusade finally found that extra gear in the final twenty minutes of exhausting football- Briscoe and Webb scoring tries to blow the margin out to 28-16.

In Sydney, the Oilers found that the Berlin Warlords were far from the easybeat side that a cocky Bossert claimed they would be earlier in the week. The Warlords refused to die in a classic struggle, which saw a 4-0 halftime lead to the Oilers, and a fulltime scoreline of 12-2. The Oilers were made to work for every metre they made, despite the Warlords missing three starters to injuries suffered during the tournament.
