If you could change one thing about the ASRL, what would it be?

The one thing i would change about the ASRL is the feeder system. At the moment the feeder club system is working allright but id like to modify it a tad more to make it more of a reward for having an elite squad. What I propose is that all Premier League sides are entitled to a reserve grade team (feeder team). In which they can use for blooding rookies and depth when injuries occurs etc. As we know the salary cap plays a part in downsising squads to allow equal distribution of elite players, but this can sometimes effect teams as they keep all their stars but risk losing their up and coming juniors that way Premier League sides can keep their juniors in their Reserve Grade side.

With the Premier League reserve grade sides, they would take place of the RSC, the RSC would become the ASRL Reserves Cup. In which each ressies side play each other when their Premier League sides play ala NRL and Premier League.

When a team gets relegated to 1st Divison their feeder is eliminated from the Reserves competition and is replaced by the promoted teams feeder. Most of you would be thinking hey this unfair, but theres advantages. 1. It promotes a more of goal for 1st Division sides to not only make Premier League but get a feeder to house their junior talent and give them needed depth.

With the 1st Division teams are still allocated their NRL/ESL/Batercard Cup feeder teams so they get first dibs on their juniors so they are not missing out on gaining their young rookies from their real life feeder sides.

Also 1st division has a smaller salary cap than Premier League, so when teams are relegated or newly forming into 1st Division they might not be able to afford top notch players litterd throughout their squads, therefore they would have to use their rookies to make up the most of their squad size. This promotes junior development throught 1st Divison making it more like a comp full of rising stars trying to help their team on its way into Premier League and gaining a much needed reserve grade side.

I beleive this system would make the ASRL more compeitive and realisitic than the current feeder system with the RSC. Just my opinion so don't take offence to it chris lol ;)

I'd prefer a draft with all the feeder club players. It would be fun, and more fair. But thats just me saying that coz i came later and now have an absolute shithouse feeder compared to some of the other clubs.
