Title: F7's

chriswalkerbush - August 23, 2004 03:41 PM (GMT)
I know that Magro, myself, and PJ are involved in F7's. Wondered if perhaps there'd be enough interest to form an ASRL F7's side in the next season.

I'd be interested, provided we could get enough people. For the uninitiated F7's is writing a 750 word (max) article about some facet of league every fortnight or so. There are real prizes, and it's all good fun.

i failed english in the hsc, 750 words a fortnight is daunting to me....i dont mind writing crap about crap when it doesnt reall matter what crap im talking about, but 750 words on one topic, cant see myself doing that :(

I'd love to put 750 words together each fortnight. each fortnight sbout why I think the Panthers are great.

Ok, so, at the moment we have three guys who could be interested.

- Myself: Played a season for Easts and repped NSW
- Chris
- Randell

Are Magro (Pirates) and Marshal (Parramatta) interested? I think it'd be a good way to raise our profile. 750 words on any league topic isn't particularly hard, and only five of the team would be needed every round.

I'm pretty sure we need around 10-12 members to form a team. That said, not everyone has to participate to be counted towards that total.

Based on the three 'maybes' so far, we could have a competitive enough side. As long as we all run things through a spelling and grammar checker (they're pedantic about that), we'd be good.

I would be interested...maybe once a month or something would be alli'm like Trog couldn't do it on a too regular basis.

I'll definately be in to jump ship *excuse the pun*... the Pirates annoy the shit with their no talking and couple of hour notice for an article.

If we get a team up and running, I'll make some banners for everyone

Pending on recruits for Parra's F7 team next year, i'll most prob get on board an ASRL united team

would be a pretty good idea, we could write articles related to the asrl and such and like you said chris could be a good way to increase our profile

Ok, there's a 'possibles vs. probables' tournament later in the year, and it's our chance to show the quality of our fine organisation. As a team I was leaning towards:

pennywisealfie
Mark
PJ Marshal

That's three of us with F7's experience, a professional journalist, and then Maunder. We'd also need three reserves, so could I pen in wizard1o1, trognierrrr, and someone else? Balmain Benny aka Roger?

Are all of you still keen?

I had that list down. The Possible vs. Probables tournament is in November, and I think we could form a really competitive side. With MarkF and Al also very good writers, we could really have the makings of something strong.

As I've said before, it's 750 words every two to four weeks, writing about league. There are real prizes to be one for the best players, and it's all in good fun. I've contacted Willow (runs the F7's) about forming a side and he's said we need to perform in the aforementioned tournament.
