It has been revealed today that the ASRL has seriously been considering a brand new International Tournament for sometime in the next two years, when documents containing information on the idea were leaked to the media from an un-named ASRL insider. The documents were said to have been brought forward after 'Mr E' was worried the idea was starting to fizzle out, and since a lot of the idea was his, he wanted to get it out there to guage public perception on the idea.
Revealed in the documents were plans for two massive tournaments, one Northern Hemisphere and one Southern Hemisphere, each and every team playing eachother once, top team declared winner, but then a side from each hemisphere being named strictly from POM's earned during this tournament, to play in a three game series against eachother. It is stated that the ASRL was looking to hold this series in countries where league needs a push, with countries such as USA, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa being tauted as possible hosts of a game each. Finance is the reason it apears that ASRL is leaning towards pulling the pin, as this kind of tournament would be extremely expensive, but there are the people of the belief that this is axactly the type of tournament that the ASRL needs in order to get this great game truly global. It is expected that ASRL chairman Chris Walker Bush will make a statement reguarding the leaked information later on today.
