a. KoRN are NOT a pop band. They are not one of your good bands turned to the dark side like The Offspring or Sum 41. They are the leaders of nu-metal and pioneer some of the best sounds with their unique 7 string guitar which other immitators find hard to copy.

b. they are talking about the commercial pop industry. How each week over 100 singles are released and yet 99% of them don't reach the top 25. The industry has become a way to earn money rather than produce music. Bands like Korn, Marilyn Manson, AFI.... release singles off their album if they think it's quality, not just for a quick buck.
