Title: International Coaching Positions

chriswalkerbush - March 17, 2004 04:38 AM (GMT)
While the next World Cup or international season is a while off, I'm getting in early and figuring out which international sides are being coached and which new coaches would like to take the helm at a national side.

Australia: Chris Walker-Bush
Ireland: Josh Hussey
England: Anthony Magro
New Zealand: Doug Allen
Scotland: Brent Douglas
Tonga: Andrew Young
South Africa: Theo Kamis
Papua New Guinea: Al Staples
AA/TSI: Roger Bossert
Wales: Vahe Ohenessian
Fiji: Marshal Boyd
France: Troy Haines
Samoa: Rowland Kelly
USA: Ben Quinn
Lebanon: Doug Hess
Cook Islands: Mickyj
Japan: Anthony McElroy
Germany: Brian Randell
Russia: Dave Paddock
Greece: Dave Smartt
Italy: Matt Lyons
Malta: Mick Treacy
West Indies: FREE
Singapore: FREE
Morocco: FREE

If you want to take on one of the free sides, feel free to ask. If you see a nation missing that you'd like to enter - just hit me up.

G8 A Raid - March 17, 2004 05:04 AM (GMT)
could I take on coaching Italy or South Africa, or even both depending on what happens

Stephen Simmons - March 17, 2004 08:50 PM (GMT)

chriswalkerbush - March 27, 2004 01:09 AM (GMT)
You'll have to talk to Priddo and try and organise a trade. Priddo's eligible for the Irish job, so if he gets that you can gun for USA if you like.

westspanthers - March 27, 2004 09:25 AM (GMT)
pfft 2 priddo bring the Irish 2 me!

pennywisealfie - March 27, 2004 03:56 PM (GMT)

westspanthers - March 28, 2004 02:52 AM (GMT)
HAHAHAH funny! but seriously fuck off maunder :P you should'nt get USA cos you are a shitty Joakland Raiders supporter and they can't win a super bowl. I am going for Ireland and not that dirty ANAL SEX inventing country, that is the country you should go for actually

chriswalkerbush - September 9, 2004 02:44 PM (GMT)
Bump.

Can everyone say whether or not they're still keen on their current side. I'm also very keen to get coaches for the four or five uncoached nations.

bumper_benny - October 10, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)

mickyj - February 8, 2005 10:57 PM (GMT)
I would be keen for a side.

I see NZ dont have a coach.

MrCharisma - February 9, 2005 12:13 AM (GMT)
If England ever come free, I want that role as coach

chriswalkerbush - February 9, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
I'm planning to step down as Australia coach to pursue the role in a different nation. England would have been near the top of my priority list.

chriswalkerbush - February 9, 2005 02:57 AM (GMT)
The following sides are currently coachless:

South Africa
USA
Greece
West Indies
Portugal

Also, there may be an opening for the Australian role, provided I can find a suitably challenging job to undertake afterwards.

Cake or Death - February 9, 2005 04:25 AM (GMT)
Is this rugby, or cricket?

....not cricket? too bad - I like Brian Lara....

....for league, I'd like a go at South Africa, please...

chriswalkerbush - February 9, 2005 04:27 AM (GMT)
Abandoning your homeland, Theo? :P

Rest assured, all of these nations play rugby league (with the exception of Portugal, who may get cut).

L1verpOOl - February 9, 2005 05:32 AM (GMT)
I'd like to take the job of coaching Greece.

The closest league available to me is well over 1,000 km away....

....I'm surrounded by yawnion here....

....and Fox Sports World here so graciously deigned to carry the USA/AUS match - but doesn't carry any other league action whatsoever (but do carry the Currie Cup - whatever that lot is)....

Actually, I was querying the Windies - now that I know they do play league, I'll arrange a road trip, so we can cop some Red Stripe beer :D

As for my choosing South Africa if available, well - if someone else begs for them before the Week 10 orders deadline, I'll take USA on...

The Currie Cup is South Africa's premier domestic Rugby Union competition, just in case you were wondering.

Big Mick - February 10, 2005 07:54 AM (GMT)
Go MALTA!

Cake or Death - February 10, 2005 09:10 PM (GMT)
I knew exactly what the Currie Cup was...

...but because I thought there was a bylaw prohibiting mentioning yawnion in anything approaching a good light (I believe the bylaw specifically prefers nude wrestling against Osama bin Laden, John Howard, Pauline Hansen, and/or George Bush, in chocolate pudding, mud, gelatin, and/or tofu, to yawnion), I didn't want to mention it :D

...however, I wonder if nude co-ed yawnion is acceptable under this bylaw ;)
