Samoa have named a full strength side to take on Germany in round 4 of the world cup. Although the Samoans are winless after 4 rounds, they have only lost by minimal margins to better ranked teams.
Samoa will look to Motu Tony to guide the team in attack as he works from the hooking position, unable to get a role in one of his favoured spots like fullback or 5/8th. Tony told the press today-
"I think I deserve a go in 5/8th, after the impact I had when slotted in there for the Warriors" but his words go unnoticed as the specialist 5/8thFranco Luullai plays there.
Richard Villasanti is back from injury, as is Brian Lima, and both will play key roles if Samoa are to win against the Germans. Lima has been playing out of position, but has played well so far in the series.
One problem faced by the Samoans is the role of goal kicking, captain Inoke Ratudina has been taking them and been going well, but if they are to go places in world rugby, they are going to need a better goal kicker. Halfback Brian Leauma has put his hand up as the first string kicker, as he sometimes is kicker for his ASRL club the Ferrets.
