There was jubilation in Iraq today as news was spread that the US had been defeated. On one of the only 7 remaining internet connections in Iraq a young ASRL fan managed to find the scrap of information and ran into the streets shouting the information. Celebrations quickly broke out and partying is taking place in the streets.
In a very twisted grapevine the story somehow came unhinged and an ecstatic Saddam Hussein has emerged from hiding to put forward pleas to war hero Mehrtens whose "superboot was the weapon that shot down US hopes of victory". In a video delivered to the New Zealand embassy Hussein has offered a fortune in oil monies to Mehrtens for the purchase of this alleged superboot. Sources say that Hussein plans to manufacture this weapon on mass. Nike spokesman Harold Hightop has said that the shoe has a legal patent that cannot be broken, but that if cheap labour is available a factory could be built in iraq very soon.

New Zealand have fired back at Coach George W., saying that Saddam was never apart of New Zealands tactics to defeat the yanks. In fact they were actually bribing the japs to stage Pearl Harbour 2 while half their tropus were watching the USA go down to NZ.

Also there is no comformation that Mehrtens is a soldier in Saddams army!
