Whenever we cant rehearse as much as we use to (3 nights a week and all saturday long) what i do is: a) i put the cd of the songs we normally play and i play along with the cd. b ) i record one of our previous sessions then use that recording to play along. c) just practice my own skills and try to come up with new riffs.

one of those 3 options are really great to not lose what i like to call "it" ;)

what do you guys do

i practice scales, and listen to some of the songs we're covering. But its totally different without the other dudes. i wander off and do my own shit
especially cause most of my band mates dont appreciate metallica too much :-(

Am i the only one who plays along with the cds? it helps a lot you should try that

nope, thats how i learned sandman for my band.. no that our band broke up all i do is play to cds

i play drums so i play along to cds all the time. i played the whole S&M, Mexico City, and cunning stunts concerts :bang: :bang:
