Well I payed 350-400$ for the DRUMS, Hi-Hat and 1 Cymbal. The rest I´ve bought now and then.

Start off with a small drum kit like mine and then buy cymbals and things when you´ve got the money.

....and one more thing, take lessons. It will help you VERY much

i already take guitar lessons so i don't know about the drum lessons i was just gonna get a kit to mess around on because to pay for my guitars, drums AND lessons for both would be too much money that i don'thave. :(

did mine the same way. you get your 1st kit and learn to play it. after a short while you will be issed off because the cymbals don't give you all the sound you need so you will then add a splash or another crash and so forth. you will not get a kit like masters for cheaper than the $1500. i think thats about £600 in english money and here his kit would cost around £800 - £1000 i should think.
