Title: cymbals

i'm currently playing on zildjian 20" scimitar ride, 18" avatar ride/crash and a 16" zbt crash. yeah i like my zildjians :) but the sound of them is still heavy so i'm considering a china and splash...... problem is money. i have enough for 1 and a tama boom stand  however i am considering forgetting zildjians because of lack of funds. does anyone know of any other cheaper splashes or china's out there that give a good sound at a lower price than zildjians?

maybe you could save some money by buying a cymbal arm and attach it instead of a new stand? also Zildjians, in my opinion, are the best and are worth saving for. they make excellent A Custom 8 and 10 inch splashes

yeah i have my eye on a 10" zildjian custom splash but for such a little piece of metal i just can't understand how they want £155 for one. i just paid £155 for the z.b.t. crash but custom are the best quality......................right? so maybe thats the reason why they value those little zildjians so high. i was considering getting a rack for the cymbals but the one i have seen is £300 which is too much right now. i think i will go with your suggestion of a cymbal arm when i add the splash but i will add another stand for the china. the tama stands i use are great value at just £53.

ZBT are the lowest Zildjian, but Z Custom K, A Series are like the best. You hear the difference. I would recommend saving your money and getting A or Z, they are fucking good. My mates got all Z Custom and and Dyno Beat High-hats they are awsome worth money. Or just buy good condition second hand! I am slowly getting all Z Customs on my kit! :bang:
Once you have played will Z Customs you won't want to go back to ZBT or ZXT

yeah i aint happy with the sound from my zbt crash. but custom are so much more expensive it is ridiculous. i know the scimitar was a crappy cymbal they did. i also have an avedis which isn't great but it sounds ok compared to the zbt.

my personal favorites are the A custom series..the 16 and 17 custom crashes are amazing. the K's and Z's are heavy as shit and unless you pound the living shit you probably won't break them. splashes seem a lot cheaper here..i bought a 10 inch A custom for 80 dollars American.

But I guess you get what you pay. I am slowly saving up and buying new stuff. I only got one good Cymbal my lovely 16" China Trash :madfire:. Makes the best sound! Puts the rest of my Cymbals to shame (Sabian and this other random brand).
With those Z Customs hitting them at full force is fucking loud, unlike the ZBT and ZXT and other shit cymbal models.
