Title: 4 track recorders
EveryFairyDies - April 26, 2004 07:50 AM (GMT)
Hey guys!
Thinking of buying a 4 track, but I've got no idea as to what the best brands are and whatnot. Any suggestions? Know a good model? Know the basics I should be looking for (other than the obvious play, record, stop :) )? Any advice?
Thanks!!

I make all my recordings with my pc...
If you do one track after another its fine. Have you tried this?
Sorry with a good 4 track i dont know wich brand is good. Maybe you try to find some articles about them in muscians magazines?

Tascam have always been a good and reliable brand
Something like this should be good
http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/prodinfo.php?id=2717or the porta studio is quite good, but with only 2 tracks of simultaneous recording

Is 4 track enough? What kinds of plugins you need? XLR or 3.5 plugs? Are you recording drums or what?

You can get a Boss 4-Track for around £200-£250.
My mate has one of them and they're pretty good.
