Title: DYERS EVE COVER - by Sad But True
Crunchmeister - April 22, 2004 12:42 AM (GMT)
SUR-FUCKING-PRISE!!! Everyone's been bugging us to do this one since we started up last summer. Your wishes are granted. We decided that we'd let you have it.
We've actually been working on this one for a while now. We were workign on it simultaneously with our PUppets cover. That's partly why Puppets took us so long to complete. We wanted to release this within a few days of PUppets, but due to some serious computer problems on my end, I was unable to do anything for over a week.
You guys will probably notice that we changed a few parts of the song, namely, a whole section of the solo. Matlike blended some other Kirk licks and some of his own the solo. He also added a nice little lead part in the outro that I think sounds really cool.
Anyway, here it is people...

"The Shortest Straw" was one of our original candidates for the Justice album. We have one song left from our Justice quote, so it might be "The Shortest Straw", and it might not be. You never know.
Neither do we, actually.

Sounds great, but i think the drums are a little too high in the mix. Overall though, amazing cover of the song, the rhythm parts are amazing.....

Not a drum machine - we use MIDI drums with Black Album soundfonts. I'm responsible for putting the drums together.
And thanks to all who enjoyed the cover. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!
:D
Seriously, a big thank you to all who downloaded/listened to/streamed/left comments for the cover. We really appreciate your opinions, and we're glad you liked our version of "Dyers Eve".
