Ok I got my first bottle of guitar polish for body and lemon oil for the frets... Now Im kinda new to this cleaning the guitar the real way thing... Can someone tell me how to use the polish... Like is there a specific amount to use on the cloth, how do you apply: circular motions or up down, like I applied it and it was making marks, and I was just putting more and more to get rid of them... So Im just afraid of ruining my guitar due to trying to keep it clean... No bullshit answers please...

just spray on your cloth (damp) and polish away in circular motion or up and down-when using the lemoil on your fretboard 2 or 3 drops in each fretlet it soak, then massage it in then get another cloth and wipe clean, replace strings, then you are done for 12 months , hope all goes well
cheers :wavey:

ps you wont ruin the finish by using to much polish, just make sure youget all of the excese polish off :wavey:

the bottle of lemon oil I got isnt a drop one its bottle that you just flip over and rub the bottle over the frets and the cloth at the tip gets soaked and it works its magic... But ok, so I guess after everytime I play I have to wipe the sweat and dirt and dust away with a damp cloth then use polish... Wipe strings with cloth, and Im going to start using a paint brush to brush the small spaces inbetween the tail stop and the thingy thats in front of it- I have an ltd ec 1000... cause that shit is dusty as hell and I cant get in there... But thanks soo much
