Just got me a cheap, good double pedal - DXP brand...(?) for $160 bucks (AUD) now all i need is super co-ordination!

Im not a drummer... but I heard moving legs as much as possible helps and riding bikes help alot... but practice makes perfect, have fun with those pedals bro

Double bass is the easiest thing ive ever done. When my old band used to practise it was upto me to write all the riffs and drum parts while everyone else just had a fag also we had a drum barrel (steel one) attached to the drum kit.

But yeah riding a bike helps alot also if your in your room just start tapping your feet and patting your knees obviously start slwoer and progress.. What would be cool if you had bass drum patterns while your playing. Instead of the normal duhduhduhduhduhduhduhduh (which is cool but boring) you could have duhduh duh duhduhduhduh duhduhduh duh duhduh. Pshh i dunno

Andols (Ex-Chimaira drummer) check his bass patterns they are the best ive ever heard. Impossibilty Of Reason on that cd the bass patterns are insane.

One is a cool song to start with when you have bought a double pedal. It ain't very difficult :)

Unfortunately, i have absolutely no recording equipment to upload stuff, NONE! ah well...maybe in the future...ill try not to be too boring in the pedaling, im already getting better at it cos i kinda 'air drummed' :P one with my feet whilst rocking out...

Nevermore has crazy drum patterns

Okay finally somewhere where all my years as a drummer come into play. Double Pedal. First thing riding a bike is good but not the best thing. Walking about the best thing (and running as lars does) is because it creates the same thing where you have to lift and plant your feet (can't do that on a bike) and do it at a certain pace with a bike ya can't really dictate your pace where your riding dictates that. Walking is great because that will really stretch and work your leg muscles a great deal running is a great because of the whole i guess i could say reverb through your legs your legs will really get used to the whole thing. Right now i am gona give ya a few tricks that i can remember off hand and just help ya a bit. First one is the hop. Hoping the kicks is where ya use one pedal and the other real fast like a horse gallop. Lars uses that in Prince Charming really sounds cool and hard the trick is to master that would little thing and have sound nice and tight like it is there. Also from reload the part from bad seed where ya have to keep your feet consistent but quicken the beat. The original way 4 horsemen is supposed to be played the beat is the same but ya play the riff with your feet (kill em all) and also megadeth's version of it mechanix. Sweating bullets from megadeth has a bunch of kick ass double kick parts. Holy Wars has a part just that really is simple when you desconstruct it but played is hard. Little snare back beat and triple part and a nice fast double part of it. others good parts. Anthrax has some good parts. Slipknot Mudvayne,Slayer....search the metal genre and good double parts are all around......
