Alright i know how to burn the boots that i d/l on here from nero but alot of em wont play on my dvd player that is built into my tv...wat can i do to solve this prob...??? Thnx in advance
...And Justice for One - October 11, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
you're talking about audio boots i guess? how are you burning them? if you do it as data, it should still be able to play them, and if you're burning as audio, there should be no problems either
metallicat84_2003 - October 11, 2005 05:35 AM (GMT)
no im talkin about the bootleg videos
...And Justice for One - October 11, 2005 08:43 AM (GMT)
ok then....well if you burn a .avi or whatever straight to a dvd as data, most dvd players won't recognise it...you need to convert to mpeg-2 i think first (dvd format) and then burn as dvd files for it to recognise it...as for the program to use, WinAVI Video Converter should do the job, but it's not free...otherwise someone else might have a better program to use

Some modern DVD players will play CD-R/RW. Burn then as Video CD. Then that should work
Or try like AJFO said
metallicat84_2003 - October 12, 2005 02:43 AM (GMT)
Thnx for all the help but see this is the prob i have tried puttin em on Video CD on my CD-R/Ws it would play on my computer but not my dvd player and my TV says on it MP3 so it has to support em...im still a bit lost
...And Justice for One - October 12, 2005 11:21 AM (GMT)
a bit odd yeah...you should be able to just burn a video cd with a video file...Nero automatically converts the file before burning it, and it should play on a dvd player...how old is the player? shouldnt make a difference though
FucT666 - October 12, 2005 12:41 PM (GMT)
Very odd, are you sure your DVD player will play CD-R?
metallicat84_2003 - October 12, 2005 10:31 PM (GMT)
never mind i found another program on my puter....thanks for the help and suggestions :)
FucT666 - October 12, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)
Which program was it?
(So we can help out if anyone else ever makes another thread)
metallicat84_2003 - October 13, 2005 12:13 AM (GMT)
InterVideo Win DVD it was installed on my puter and i bought me a set of DVD-R/W and CD-R/W's just in case...i d/l a few of my boots to DVD-R's but when i put em to VCD it just wont play and the tv is like a year or 2 old so ah well go figure
FucT666 - October 13, 2005 08:27 AM (GMT)
Are you sure your burning the mp3 as a data disc?
jarrur - October 13, 2005 08:45 AM (GMT)
What are you doing? A vcd with mp3? What the hell is that?
...And Justice for One - October 13, 2005 08:48 AM (GMT)

Try to make something out of that...
Vcd, mp3 mentioned...
It would help us to tell what kinda of videofiles you are dealing with.
-Mpg
-Avi
-Dvix
-Xvid
.

.
?
Also you say that you dl your dvd's and then you put them to vcd. What's the point in that?
FucT666 - October 13, 2005 09:52 AM (GMT)
avi = divx and xvid really..
He never said anything about putting DVD on VCD...

Then what does this person mean with this sentence?
To me it says this person puts the dvd's to vcd. What does it say to you? I'm more then confused about this what this person is doing and what this person really wants to do. Mix of many things.
divx & xvid are video compressing tools. It doesn't automatically mean that if file is .avi it's divx/xvid. The file could be full .avi, no compression.

He is talking about audio
When he puts audio onto DVD it works in his DVD played, but VCD doesnt work.

is he now?
FucT666 - October 13, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
Yeah, he burns videos onto a DVD disc but they wont play on his DVD player
So we said burn as VCD
And it still doesnt work
deadone - October 13, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
all i can say is if your trying to convert a video onto dvd and want to be able to play it in your dvd player thennero should work just fine, i have burned just about every format to dvd and every1 works on ever dvd player i try them on, you should be able to burn anything to dvd, also make sure you use nero vision express which is part of nero, it will convert etc as its burning, :)

heres to clear up all the mess...as an example....
I d/l Basel 93 thaz the video bootleg and i want to put it onto DVD. Now i burned it from Nero Street Smart, and it so i used a DVD/RW disc it worked but i guess bc some of the files were soo big that i could only fit one part other wise it would synch. Now say i wanted it on VCD well i could put the 2 parts on there and it wouldnt synch but the prob is it wouldnt play on my tv. And from wat i understand its an mpeg. Hope this helps straighten everything out
jarrur - October 14, 2005 10:02 AM (GMT)
That didn't make anything clear at all. What is this "synch" you are talking about. I think when you are taling about "two parts" it could mean the svcd version of Basel93. Can your DVD handle SVCD?
Wouldn't it be much easier if you just asked for the real dvd?
FucT666 - October 14, 2005 11:21 AM (GMT)
It would go out of sync im guessing, like the audio and video werent in time with each other...
If its a Svcd then nero will still burn it.

Now it makes more sense.
Correct me if I'm wrong. But..
- You are converting 2 (two) video files into dvd-standard mpg2. When you have converted the files they are too big to be burned.
- Have you authored the dvd-standard mpg2 videofile. (Does nero do this automatically when it has converted the file) If not, you need to convert it with dvd authoring tools.
- If the Nero does the authoring after the convertion and if the VIDEO_TS folder is too large you can fit it to match DVD-/+R with a program called DVD Shrink.
- If you burn it to DVD-/+RW can your SA-player handle DVD-/+RW Discs?
The link www.videohelp.com that FucT666 gave. Might give you more info what to do.
FucT666 - October 14, 2005 02:31 PM (GMT)
It might just be the DVD player because...
