melodyWorks good for me, you can write basslines as notes or tabulators, really easy and quick to set up and has some effects you can use (delay/chorus/flanger/dist /rev, etc)
Theres a test version to try it out...

Fuck that, you dont need a bassist you can hardly hear them anyway on CDs.

its just only til we find a bass player that wants/can play thrash metal, cause in my country most of the musicians only play doom metal and punk
