Title: Mouth For War (Pantera)
Description: Part of riff
AtTheGatesOfBodom - August 24, 2005 12:51 PM (GMT)
During part of the intro the riff is like:
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
-2---5/9------5------5/9----5/9----5--
-0---3/7---0--3---0--3/7-0--3/7--0-3--
And then it does like a squeak like noise. I know Dime makes noises LIKE that on other songs and he uses a wammy pedal and octave pedal, but how's he do it here?

Not familiar with this bit. I think it could be a pinch harmonic maybe? Shoot me down if i am wrong!

listen to it then.
it sounds like an effected natural harmonic to me, with 1 finger across 3 or 4 strings. Could be wrong, but meh.

Would give it a listen but i am currently at work and do not a the facility to listen to it. Just a silly guess really. Dime used harmonic quite a bit. Was just guessing.

I would say it's Zakk's signiture, but he also uses it too, so I would assume it's some kind of harmonic, whether it's natural or artificial.
